Job Analysis and Selection Procedures is a two-day seminar presented by members of the Western Region Intergovernmental Personnel Assessment Council (WRIPAC). It is intended for Human Resources staff, Exam analysts, and supervisors. WRIPAC will take participants through an introduction, including Uniform Guidelines on Employee Selection, the development of tasks and knowledge, skill, and ability statements, a review of past literature, the use of subject matter experts, and the technical, mathematical process of linking, ranking, and weighting.

The program content includes the following topics:

  • Introduction to Job Analysis
  • WRIPAC Job Analysis Approach
  • Information Gathering Techniques
  • Rating KSAs and Linking KSAs to Tasks
  • Developing a Selection Plan
  • Use of Job Analysis - Classification, Exams, Training, Performance Expectations
